The Harry Potter Reunion is officially happening and the Potterheads cannot keep calm anymore. The official cast of Harry Potter will unite 20 years after the first Harry Potter movie was released. The alumni of the Harry Potter franchise will be joined by some of the popular characters played by renowned actors and actresses.
52-Second Ride of Nostalgia
According to HBO Max, ‘Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts’ will narrate an enchanting making-of story through all-new, in-depth interviews and cast conversations. The HBO Max Special will be released on 1 January 2022. A 52-second trailer featured clips from several of the world-famous films and promised “the legendary cast” would return “to where the magic started”.
The clip consisted of a compilation of some of the breath-taking and splendid scenes from all the 8 movies, backed by the narrative of the popular character Professor Dumbledore. The special also will air on WarnerMedia’s TBS and Cartoon Network in spring 2022 ahead of the Warner Bros. Pictures theatrical debut of “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.”
The Legendary Wizarding Cast
The most popular wizarding trio Harry, Ron and Hermoine a.k.a Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson will join filmmaker Chris Columbus and other cast members from all eight Harry Potter films for the first time in an HBO Max retrospective special to celebrate the anniversary of the franchise’s first film. They will also be joined by Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, and Ian Hart.
Meanwhile, Emma Watson took to Instagram for sharing her memories of Hogwarts and the film. “Harry Potter was my home, my family, my world and Hermione (still is) my favorite fictional character of all time. I think a journalist once said it was irritating how many times during an interview I mentioned how lucky I was and started counting… But I damn well knew! And still know.” She signed off her extensive post with these words: “I still miss the crew who made these films all the time. Thank you for all of your hard work too – I know your contributions sometimes get overlooked. Happy 20th Anniversary Potterheads,” quoted Emma.
The Potterhead Dimension
Nearly two decades ago, the first-ever Harry Potter ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’ was premiered on 16 Nov 2001. Ever since the release of the first movie and launch of the first book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter has successfully (and effortlessly) built a magical dimension—Potterhead. Harry Potter fans not only identify themselves as Potterheads but also have instigated countless fanfiction and alternate to the movie as well as the books. ‘Harry Potter’ became a huge world for Potterheads since its release. In addition, the popular website ‘The Wizarding World’ has become the go-to magical home for the Potterheads worldwide.
Did you know that before the release of the last movie in the Hary Potter series, the production team pasted posters saying ‘Harry Potter: The End’ everywhere along with the release date but without mentioning the name of the movie on it? As surprising as it comes, it is actually a fact. Moreover, the entire cast of Harry Potter had not seen the iconic great hall prior to shooting the popular shooting hat scene. There are numerous fan theories revolving around each and every character of the movie—from Harry to Draco, Bellatrix, Nagini, Snape, Lily, and even Lockheart!
The Harry Potter franchise has taken the world by storm with its massive fan following and audience. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the first HP film, our favorite wizarding trio are ready to be back to the legendary magic school–Hogwarts–and re-live their magical stories of the wizarding world.
