Business education is an active, career-oriented area of study and professional growth. It expands students’ knowledge of fundamental business concepts and influences the nature of the corporate, business, and organizational contexts. The scope of business education expands in the many situations in which it is used and is characterized by sets of abilities. This knowledge is utilized practically rather than only assisting graduates in finding employment at a company.
Because of its value in business, industry, non-profit organizations, and public institutions, the Master of Business Administration is the most sought-after educational path for graduate students in the United States. Graduates from the University of St. Francis-Wignall (USF), one of the most well-known MBA schools, embark on professions that transform entire industries and open doors for others. Depending on the requirements of the student, the MBA program is offered on-campus or as a hybrid program. It is an empirically supported, technologically focused approach to management and business thinking.
An Independent University
The Congregation of the Third Order of St. Francis of Mary Immaculate established the USF in 1920 as Assisi Junior College to educate its members. The congregation’s doors were also opened to women from outside in 1925. It was renamed the College of St. Francis and four-year degrees were added just five years later. The college switched to a coeducational setting in 1971, and the first degree programs offered off-campus started in the following fall. In the 1980s and 1990s, several additional graduate options were added, including a master’s program in health services administration. The College joined forces with Saint Joseph College of Nursing in 1997 to offer Bachelor of Science Nursing degrees, and on January 1, 1998, it changed its name to the University of St. Francis.
The goal of USF is to develop students into Franciscan-valued leaders who will serve and influence the world. As a Catholic institution with a liberal arts foundation, the university is a warm community of scholars who are inspired by Franciscan principles and charism and engaged in a never-ending search for truth, faith, wisdom, and justice. The university always keeps in mind a tradition that emphasizes respect for creation, compassion, and working for world peace. All of its programs aim for academic achievement, educating both men and women to become leaders and make a positive impact on the world.

The faculty and staff at USF include a broad mix of academic experts. Reaching out to professional and community-based organizations has allowed the university to expand its reach and better serve the local communities while also attracting and nurturing highly gifted and motivated students across the board. USF is home to exceptional teachers and students who work in, learn from, and explore the world outside of studies and book chapters—thanks to the individualized attention students receive to achieve their goals, the high graduation rates, and the school’s proximity to Chicago.,.
Individualized Attention
At USF, interactions between students and professors are based on collaborative teaching and learning experiences that are shared in seminars and online in classrooms with an average of fewer than 14 individuals. There are more internships available at USF than there are students to fill them, despite the fact that 330 of the Fortune 500 are within an hour’s drive of the campus. USF students enjoy access to the entire world from the college’s tree-lined campus in Joliet, Illinois, to the neighborhoods and museums of Chicago, as well as O’Hare and Midway airports.
Like most universities, USF offers services for job and internship placement. The University has kept growing as part of a comprehensive strategy for forging connections and forming alliances with former students, local groups, and organizations that serve as career-launching platforms. It provides much more than just a few resume-writing workshops; it also provides access to faculty mentors from day one of undergraduate and graduates degrees, alumni mentoring programs, and career seminars with speakers from various businesses and institutions. Students can obtain diverse perspectives and explore career alternatives in this rich environment of professional connections and alumni assistance.
