Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) has announced a nationwide school shut down in February due to Coronavirus outbreak. Within 24 hours, Your Online Learning Assistant (YOLA) was able to register and prepare over 3,000 of its current students to be online prepared with minimal disruption to student learning. YOLA SMART Learning has increased the number of students to 10,000 students being online ready and learning so far.
Anywhere, anytime platform to study at ease
With the Novel Coronavirus scare and MOET directives, all Vietnamese students have been helplessly isolated at home, with schools deserted, English language, skills, and training centers are empty. In order to keep students studying uninterrupted, YOLA quickly launched its YOLA SMART Learning platform – A comprehensive, purpose-built online platform for students to study English anywhere, anytime. It is dedicated to learning to groups of 10 students (or more) per teacher, similar to a traditional classroom at any YOLA center. Access to YOLA SMART Learning is simple and straightforward. Students simply need a laptop or other mobile device with a web camera, microphone function, and an internet connection. New platform to study English online

All lessons are recorded and students can revisit, review and replay their classes, download all digital screens, virtual whiteboard notes from teachers, from their classmates and store their own notes if there is an issue with their internet at home. This lesson recording and storage also allows YOLA SMART Learning’s analytics function to monitor all of a student’s learning behaviors and progress so that parents, teachers can help when they are needed.
Thirdly, the all-in-one examination system allows students to take online mid-term and final tests just like any traditional classroom examination so students are able to maintain their academic progress and upgrade their knowledge.
